Aprilia has revealed the RS 457's costs for two overseas markets, the USA and Canada, as we look forward to the bike's rollout in our market. Going into details, the Racing Stripes variant of the model boasts a price tag of USD 6,899 (Rs 5.74 lakh) in the United States market, while the Prismatic Dark and Opalescent Light hues are priced at USD 6,799 (Rs 5.66 lakh). Meanwhile, for the Canadian market, the Racing Stripes trim will cost CAD 7,999 (about Rs 4.83 lakh) whereas, for the other two colour schemes, the prospective buyers will have to shell out CAD 7,799 (about Rs 4.71 lakh). As for its pricing in India, there is no further information available from the Italian motorcycle manufacturer. However, as the RS 457 is being manufactured locally in India at the brand's Baramati facility, the bike is anticipated to be comparatively less expensive for the Indian market. Notably, the bookings for the model are now underway in these nations, with deliveries slated to begin in April next year.
Aprilia RS 457: Design
The motorcycle features a dynamic triangle shape, a lightweight subframe for improved agility, and an aggressive riding position. Aerodynamic vents are included in the side fairing, and the fuel tank has a muscular aspect. Twin LED headlamps, a handlebar that clips on, and a short tail section are additional design highlights. All things considered, it appears that the RS 457 offers a genuine supersport experience.
Aprilia RS 457: Engine Specs and Transmission
The RS 457 is propelled by a brand-new 457cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled motor housed in a strong aluminum frame. A quick-shifter is an optional feature that comes with a six-speed transmission and an engine that can produce up to 47bhp of peak power.
A front 41mm USD fork with 120mm of travel and a rear 130mm mono-shock manage the suspension duties. For both, preload can be adjusted. A Bybre 4-piston radial calliper on the 320mm front disc and a single-piston floating calliper on the 220mm rear disc make up the braking system. Furthermore, the bike rides on 17-inch wheels with TVS Protorq Extreme tyres measuring 110/70 in the front and 150/60 in the rear.
