Aprilia's SR 150 range and the Vespa range get new additions for 2018

Mega launch event marks Vespa's six years and Aprilia's two years in India; Aprilia's SR 150 gets three new versions and the iconic Vespa receives a facelift along with a limited-edition version.

Piaggio India has launched the new Aprilia SR 150 Race, SR 150 Facelift and the limited-edition SR 150 Carbon to add to their 2018 SR 150 lineup. Inspired by the RS-GP superbike, the SR 150 Race gets new race-inspired livery with red and green graphics. Exterior changes include 14-inch alloy wheels, a segment-first adjustable suspension, golden brake calliper, a semi-digital console and a tall windscreen. The SR 150 Facelift gets four new colours – matte black, matte blue, gloss red and white along with the adjustable suspension feature.

The Vespa range has been updated with three new colour options - Matte Rosso Dragon, Matte Yellow and Azzuro Provenza. In addition to that, both the brands now also offer two special edition models. from Vespa, there's the new all-black Notte edition while Aprilia has introduced the new Aprilia SR 150 Carbon, seen earlier at the 2018 Auto Expo. This limited-edition version will offer carbon design and aesthetics seen on Aprilia's racing bikes while the Vespa Notte will draw attention to the all-black theme.

Piaggio India also used the occasion to launch its new mobile connectivity feature for its scooters which will enable riders to connect and use the features of their Aprilia and Vespa scooters through a mobile phone. The SR 150 Race and Carbon edition come fitted with the smart connectivity feature while the SR 150 Facelift has the provision for an after-sale setup of the same. New Vespa models too will come fitted with the mobile connectivity feature.
