Ather 450X, 450S Electric Scooters Get Benefits Worth up to Rs 24,000 in December

Bengaluru-based electric vehicle startup Ather Energy has launched the 'Ather Electric December' campaign in India, offering limited-period benefits on its 450X and 450S electric scooters. These include cash benefits, zero down payment, lower interest rates and EMIs starting as low as Rs 2,739, and a free battery warranty. Note that these offers & benefits vary across cities and product variants and are valid till December 31, 2023. Kindly contact your nearest Ather Space Experience Centre to know the exact figures.  

Ather Electric December: Offers and Benefits

As part of the 'Ather Electric December' initiative, buyers can get a range of benefits worth up to Rs 24,000, including a cash discount of up to Rs 6,500 (Electric December offer up to Rs 5,000 + corporate benefit of Rs 1,500), together with an interest rate of 5.99 per cent per annum enabling EMI interest savings up to Rs 12,000. Also on offer is the option of zero down payment upon purchase and a 60-month EMI plan.

What's more, a complimentary extended battery warranty for up to 5 years or 60,000km also comes in handy, valued at Rs 7,000 at no extra cost. This plan is inclusive of a 70 per cent State-of-Health (SoH) guarantee. 

Ather 450X, 450S: Price, Battery Specs

The Ather 450X and the 450S can be had at a starting price of Rs 1.38 lakh and Rs 1.30 lakh, respectively. Prices are ex-showroom. The Ather 450X draws power from a 6.2kW motor linked either to a 2.9kWh battery or a 3.7kWh battery pack. The smaller battery yields a claimed 111km range, while the larger battery pack offers a 150km range on a single charge. The official 0-40km/h time is put at 3.3 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 90km/h.  

The new Ather 450S, on the other hand, comes with a 2.9kWh battery pack that offers a certified range of 115 kilometres, whereas the real-world range is 90 kilometres when in SmartEco mode. It can accelerate from 0 to 40km/h in 3.9 seconds. Ather says that this electric scooter can be fully charged in a claimed time of over 8 and a half hours, using a 350-watt charger that comes as standard.  

Ather 450 Apex India Launch Soon, Bookings Open

Meanwhile, Ather is preparing for the launch of the new 450 Apex, which is said to be the brand's quickest and most powerful scooter yet. The bookings for the upcoming scooter are underway for a token amount of Rs 2,500 (fully refundable), with deliveries to commence in March next year. The EV maker teased the electric scooter late last month, and its price announcement is expected to happen by end-2023 or early 2024.

Expect the Ather 450 Apex to get the same 3.7kWh battery pack as the 450X; however, the motor could be tuned differently for enhanced performance. Upon launch in India, the 450 Apex will go toe-to-toe with the likes of the TVS X, Ola S1 Pro, Simple One, and others.
