Ather Energy records highest-ever sales at 3,787 units in May 2022

Ather has recorded its highest-ever monthly sales in India. The EV maker sold 3,787 units last month as compared to the 3,779 units it sold in April.

Bengaluru-based electric scooter maker, Ather Energy has recorded its best-ever monthly sale in May 2022. The company recorded sales of 3,787 units last month. While this does not indicate a massive jump as compared to the 3,779 units that it sold in April. However, the number does show a significant increase from the 2,591 units in March. 

The company currently has two products in its lineup – the 450X and the 450 Plus. Ather has been amongst the pioneers who kicked off the EV movement among two-wheelers in India. Both the products in Ather’s lineup have seen steady growth both in terms of popularity as well as sale in the country. The 450X and the 450 Plus come as a well-rounded products, ranking handsomely in major aspects including features, top speed, range and charging time.

It's worth noting that the sale of electric vehicles has been on a rise due to several factors including sky-high fuel prices and the low running cost of an electric scooter. 

In addition to manufacturing, the company has also taken significant measures to bolster EV charging infrastructure in India. The manufacturer recently partnered with Magenta ChargeGrid, one of the most prominent EV charging infrastructure providers in India. This is in addition to its recent partnership with Statiq where the brands are aiming to install charging stations in the entire north region, with a special emphasis on the NCR region. The company said that this bolstered network will result in a more robust network of chargers for future usage and thus work in joint favour of the partners Statiq and Ather Energy and their users.
