With its first family scooter, the Rizta, set to hit the market soon, Ather Energy is all geared up to make waves in the electric two-wheeler industry. The firm recently took to its official Instagram handle to announce the date for the Ather Community Day. The event is scheduled to take place on April 6 and the Rizta is expected to launch on the same day. The newly developed electric scooter has been spotted testing with camouflage several times before. In addition to testing, the EV maker is ensuring that its new offering captures buyers' interest even before going on sale. A few days back, the manufacturer teamed up with popular Indian stand-up comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi to market the e-scooter as part of this strategy. Tarun Mehta, the CEO of Ather Energy, revealed the name of the electric scooter earlier with the release of the first official teaser. After making the price announcement, the maker hopes to start shipping the model within six months.

Ather Rizta Electric Scooter: Appearance

The Ather Rizta's unique design language will make it stand out from the rest of the pack, as evidenced by the earlier spy photos. Its dimensions will probably also be larger than those of the other models in the 450 lineup. It could also have a very large footboard. In addition, the Rizta will have a roomy seat. As a result, we anticipate that the producer will provide more under-seat storage than the 450X, which has a 22-litre cargo capacity.

Ather Rizta Electric Scooter: Engine

Depending on the mode, the firm now offers two battery pack options for the 450 line: 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh. In contrast to the current Ather scooters, the new Rizta electric scooter will likely be equipped with a bigger battery pack and a greater range. Furthermore, it might not be as focused on performance as the 450X or the 450 Apex.

Subsequently, the features of the e-scooter are probably going to include a touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster, and any additional amenities like smartphone connectivity, all-LED lighting, single disc setup at both ends, telescopic front forks, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), and fall safe. Even more features than the current flagship Ather electric scooter, such as ride modes, quick charging, GPS, and more, are anticipated for the Ather Rizta.

Ather Rizta Electric Scooter: Expected Price and Rivals

The Ather Rizta will be positioned to attract a new audience demographic. This scooter is intended for buyers who want to commute in a model with sufficient storage capacity. It is anticipated to retail for between Rs 1.25 lakh and Rs 1.35 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom figures. Upon launch, the Rizta will go up against the Ola S1 Pro as well as the TVS iQube S.

The company just celebrated its tenth anniversary with the arrival of the 450 Apex, and the forthcoming Rizta will expand the consumer base. The teaser shows a more rounded look that will likely appeal to a broader range of buyers, as well as a spacious floorboard and wide seat.
