Ather Rizta S With Larger Battery Launched in India at Rs 1.37 Lakh
Ather has commenced bookings for the new Ather Rizta S with a larger battery pack across India. Deliveries for the EV are slated to begin by the end of the month.

Ather Energy has introduced a new mid-spec variant to its popular Rizta electric scooter lineup for buyers seeking more options for longer range. The new Ather Rizta S is priced at Rs 1.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and has an IDC range of 159 kilometres. It is now equipped with a larger 3.7kWh battery, which was previously available with the top-spec Z model. The Ather Rizta S is offered with 2.7kWh, and 2.9kWh battery options.
Ather Energy recently announced that the Rizta EV surpassed the one lakh sales mark in India. The electric scooter accounts for over 60% of the brand's total sales.

The new variant has the same top speed of 80km/h. The core is a mid-mounted electric motor that produces 5.76bhp of maximum and 22Nm of torque. Ather claims the scooter can go from 0 to 40km/h in 4.7 seconds.
The newly introduced variant qualifies for Ather’s 'Eight70' battery warranty programme, which offers coverage for 8 years or up to 80,000 kilometres. Buyers can avail the extended warranty by opting for the Pro Pack. Additionally, the variant supports over-the-air (OTA) updates. However, it misses out on several amenities exclusive to the top-spec Z model, like a colour TFT display. The features of the model include a telescopic front fork, a 7-inch DeepView LCD display and turn-by-turn navigation.
The Ather Rizta has a functional and family-friendly design, with a focus on everyday usability. Its elongated seat is tailored for family use, offering ample space and comfort for both rider and pillion. The integrated LED headlamp and a slim light bar at the rear improve visibility and also give the scooter a modern and urban look.
