Bajaj has relaunched the Pulsar 180 in India, one of its first motorcycles that helped establish the brand’s strong identity in the country. The bike is offered in a single variant and is priced at Rs 1.22 lakh (ex-showroom). It slots between the Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 220F in the lineup. For the uninitiated, the Pulsar 180 was first introduced in 2001 alongside the Pulsar 150. While the latter has continued with updates across its two-decade-old journey, the Pulsar 180 was discontinued in 2022. It now returns with cosmetic and feature upgrades to expand Bajaj’s presence in the commuter segment.
The bike instantly looks like a Pulsar, with that familiar silhouette. However, Bajaj has made a few additions to its look, including a single-piece seat, an LED headlight, LED indicators, and a sportier black colour scheme with colour-specific graphics, to help it stand out from its previous version.

The bike is available in five colour options (Black Gold, Black Blue, Black Grey, Black Red, and White). It maintains the same muscular fuel tank and a slender tail portion.

The Bajaj Pulsar 180 gets an LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. This supports calls and SMS alerts, but lacks turn-by-turn navigation.
The reintroduced version of the Pulsar has the same 178.61cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 17bhp at 8,500rpm and 15Nm (which is a marginal torque bump of 0.78Nm) at 6,500rpm and is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The bike has ground clearance of 165mm, a fuel tank capacity of 15 litres and a kerb weight of 156kg.
Hardware-wise, the Pulsar 180 has telescopic front suspension and dual rear shock absorbers. Stopping power comes from disc brakes (front and rear) with single-channel ABS. The Pulsar 180 rides on 17-inch alloys with tubeless tyres.
