The Bajaj Pulsar N125 and Honda SP 125 are both popular choices in the entry-level motorcycle segment, appealing to a wide range of riders. The Pulsar N125 is known for its sporty design and strong performance, while the Honda SP 125 focuses on reliability and fuel efficiency. Bajaj Pulsar N125 vs Honda SP 125 Spec Comparison: Engine Specs

The Pulsar N125 features a new 125cc single-cylinder engine which produces a maximum power of 11.83bhp at 8,500rpm and peak torque of 11Nm at 6,000rpm. This engine is coupled with a five-speed transmission.

Meanwhile, the Honda SP 125 is equipped with a 125cc PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection) engine, incorporating Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology. The revised engine delivers 10.72bhp of peak power at 7,500rpm and 10.9Nm of torque at 6,000rpm, and it is paired with a five-speed gearbox. This unit also has a silent starter generator, ensuring quiet starts while maximising fuel efficiency and minimising friction.

Coming to the design, the N125 adheres to the style of the Pulsar N series, showcasing sharp aesthetics with a V-shaped LED headlight cluster, a robust fuel tank featuring extended shrouds, and faux carbon fibre accents. Other design highlights include split seats, unique split headlamps, an underbelly exhaust, and a rear tyre hugger.

The updated SP 125 boasts a modern and premium look. It features refreshed graphics and an LED headlamp at the front. Additionally, the bike includes a body-coloured headlight cowl, fuel tank shrouds, a body-matched front fender, a side-mounted exhaust, and a body-coloured grab rail for the passenger.

The Bajaj model packs a range of features, including an LCD instrument cluster and a USB charging port. The higher-end model adds an integrated starter generator and Bluetooth connectivity for call and text notifications, along with a switchable auto start/stop function. Hardware-wise, it has telescopic front forks, a mono-shock rear suspension, a 240mm front disc brake, and a 130mm rear drum brake, supported by a combined braking system. The bike offers a ground clearance of 198mm, a seat height of 795mm, and a kerb weight of 125 kg.

The SP 125's feature set comprises an engine start/stop switch, a combined braking system, a piston cooling jet, a side stand cut-off, a digital instrument cluster that displays fuel efficiency details, an ECO indicator, and a gear position indicator. The newest Honda SP 125 has alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. For suspension, it includes telescopic forks in the front and hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear, which offer five-step adjustability. Braking is handled by a 240mm disc or a 130mm drum brake in the front, while a 130mm drum brake is used at the rear.

In terms of variants and pricing, the new Pulsar N125 comes in two options: the Base variant priced at Rs 94,707 and the Bluetooth variant available for Rs 98,707.

The SP 125 is also offered in two variants. The base model, SP 125 Drum, is priced at Rs 86,474, while the top-of-the-line Disc variant is available for Rs 90,467. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures.
