Yamaha Lander 250 Dual Sport

Yamaha India has showcased the Lander XTZ 250, an adventure/off-road motorcycle at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. This follows earlier testing of the Yamaha Lander on Indian roads and the bike is currently on sale in the South American Market. Although an official launch in India has not been announced, the growing demand for adventure bikes indicates a possible launch in future. If launched, the expected price is between Rs. 1.80 lakh and Rs. 2.10 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Yamaha Lander 250 features a simple design, with a centrally mounted projector LED headlight. Other key features include a tall front fender, extended fuel tank shrouds, a single-piece seat, and an upswept exhaust system.

The Yamaha Lander 250 features a 249cc air-cooled engine, producing 20hp and 20Nm of torque, the same engine used in the discontinued FZ-25. This engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. This drive train is set in a double-cradle frame.

The bike is equipped with telescopic front forks (220mm travel) and a monoshock rear suspension (204mm travel) for handling various terrains. It has single-disc brakes at both ends, with ABS for added safety.

The Lander 250 includes an LCD display with smartphone connectivity, providing convenience and modern features. With a wet weight of 160kg and a 13.6-litre fuel tank, it offers a good balance of performance.

Following the discontinuation of the FZ-25, the Lander 250  can fill the gap in Yamaha's 250cc range in India. If launched, it will compete against the upcoming Hero XPulse 210.
