BMW Motorrad pulled the wraps off its Concept RR at the prestigious Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, offering an early preview of the direction its next-generation RR superbikes could take. This high-performance concept not only reflects BMW’s vision for future design but also integrates advanced engineering directly inspired by its factory racing machines.
Commenting on the debut, Markus Flasch, Head of BMW Motorrad, said, 'Never before has BMW Motorrad provided such an early glimpse into a future generation of the RR models. The BMW Motorrad Concept RR is a true masterpiece of our development team, both technically and in terms of design language. Guided and inspired by the BMW Motorrad factory superbike M 1000 RR, with which BMW Motorrad factory rider Toprak Razgatlioğlu was able to dominantly win the FIM World Superbike Championship last year, the Concept RR offers a true firework of superlatives for both street and track use. The transfer from racing to road has never been shown more clearly. It represents BMW Motorrad's leadership claim to offer the highest engineering level and maximum performance in this segment.'

Visually, the bike moves away from the aggressive lines of the S 1000 RR, favouring a more sculpted and aerodynamic profile. Signature elements include slender LED headlamps flanking a central air duct with a neatly integrated winglet. The bike’s body features deep air channels along the front fairing and fuel tank for better airflow, while the sharply tapered tail section has been carefully shaped to minimize drag.

Extensive use of lightweight components – carbon fibre for the frame and fairing, aluminium for the tank and other parts – further boosts performance. Design details such as Brembo braking hardware, Domino handlebar grips, and a glowing “RR” emblem on the tail complete the bike’s performance-focused look.

Powering the Concept RR is a liquid-cooled inline-four engine derived from BMW’s WorldSBK bikes, generating over 227bhp. This is paired with a suite of high-end electronic systems – including traction control, engine braking management, and precision mapping – all borrowed from the race-spec M 1000 RR.

To complement the bike’s debut, BMW also revealed a limited-edition riding jacket called the Concept RR LTD. Made in collaboration with German leather specialist Meindl, the jacket features fine Nappa leather and subtle branding on the neck. Only 50 pieces will be produced, underscoring its exclusivity. Pricing has yet to be announced.
