BMW has revealed the production-spec F 450 GS at EICMA 2025, marking a new addition to its GS adventure motorcycle range. The new model targets riders seeking a lighter and more accessible entry point into BMW’s adventure touring segment. The F 450 GS aims to attract new customers by offering practical proportions combined with modern performance and safety features.
The motorcycle carries BMW’s familiar adventure design language in a more compact format. It uses a steel tubular frame, with the engine acting as a stressed member, contributing to an overall weight of 178kg. The stance includes a tall design, a functional windscreen, and ergonomics suited for extended riding. Suspension duties come from a 43mm upside-down front fork and a directly mounted rear monoshock, each offering 180mm of travel.

For braking, the setup includes a 310mm front disc with a Brembo four-piston caliper and a 240mm rear disc, designed to offer a balanced braking performance across conditions.
BMW has equipped the F 450 GS with comprehensive electronic rider aids. Standard systems include ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control, engine drag torque control, and Dynamic Brake Control. Three ride modes (Rain, Road, and Enduro) are available, along with an Enduro Pro mode for off-road riding on higher variants.

A 6.5-inch TFT instrument display provides connectivity and essential vehicle information, aligning the F 450 GS with BMW’s larger GS models in terms of digital integration and data accessibility.
The motorcycle is powered by a newly developed 420cc parallel-twin engine producing 47.5bhp at 8,750rpm and 43Nm at 6,750rpm. It features a 135-degree crank offset with a balance shaft to ensure smoother operation. A six-speed gearbox transmits power through a chain final drive. The range will include Basic, Exclusive, Sport, and GS Trophy variants.

The GS Trophy version introduces BMW’s Easy Ride Clutch, a centrifugal system designed to assist smoother gear engagement. Other variants will feature optional components like handguards, engine protection, and quickshifter compatibility.
