BMW Motorrad to celebrate 90th anniversary

This year BMW Motorrad will be celebrating a very significant milestone. 2013 will mark 90 years of BMW motorcycles and the Bavarian bike maker will be celebrating. BMW has been at the forefront of bike culture, along with pioneering technical innovations, record-breaking rides, historic racing victories and numerous world championship titles. BMW bikes today are known for their outstanding reliability, uncompromising safety for everyday riding and lasting value throughout its history.

This year the company will be marking its 90th anniversary with three exclusive “90 Jahre BMW Motorrad” (“90 years of BMW Motorrad”) – the R 1200 GS Adventure, R 1200 R and R 1200 RT. These Three BMW motorcycles are shining examples of the BMW Motorrad success story

In addition to these three new bikes, the company will also be launching a very special product for their BMW followers. The new bike will feature a retro design that has been inspired over the 9 decades of BMW Motorrad’s success, including inspiration from the company’s very first bike – the R 32. The R 32 was manufactured from 1923 onward and quickly gained an exceptionally high reputation for quality, which has carried on till this day. In a statement BMW said that, "the new, distinctive motorcycle to come out next year will express the genes of 90 years of BMW Motorrad combined with emotional styling and innovative technology to create a new, multifaceted vehicle concept.
