BSA is making headlines globally with two eye-catching models. The Bantam 350, a completely new machine with a classic name, is designed with international riders in mind. Meanwhile, the Scrambler 650 —which turned heads at last year’s Bike Shed Moto Show — is now officially on sale across the UK and Europe. The Bantam is based on the Jawa 42 FJ, while the Scrambler uses the BSA Gold Star 650 platform. Both bikes are currently aimed at international markets, but there’s growing speculation that BSA could bring them to India — possibly sooner than expected. We have detailed some important specifications of these bikes for you to quickly review.

The iconic BSA Bantam name makes a return with an all-new 350cc roadster that combines classic British styling with modern style. It has a clean, retro look with blacked-out engine parts, exhaust, and alloy wheels. It features a classic round headlight and a sporty, neo-retro feel. Small details like the Union Jack on the fuel tank remind you of its British roots.

The Bantam 350 is driven by a 334cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes around 29bhp and 29.62Nm, and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Other features include telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers, 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels with disc brakes at both ends, supported by dual-channel ABS. While initially launched for international markets, there are strong hints that the BSA Bantam 350 might eventually come to India. If it does, expect it to be a strong contender in the popular 350cc segment. The estimated price could be around Rs 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
Another BSA bike that has recently made its global debut and is expected to hit the Indian streets is the Scrambler 650. The bike stands out with its purposeful, minimalist look. It features a round headlight with a guard, an upward-swept dual exhaust, and a high-mounted front fender. It also gets a flat bench seat and exclusive colour options.
The heart of the Scrambler 650 is a 652cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with DOHC (Dual Overhead Camshafts). The engine delivers about 45bhp of power and 55Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The bike has a larger 19-inch front spoke wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. Braking is handled by single discs at both ends with ABS.
