Ducati 959 Panigale launched at Rs. 13.97 lakh

The Ducati 959 Panigale has been priced at Rs. 13.97 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and is on display at the company’s dealerships in Delhi and Gurgaon.

We recently brought to you our track review of the new Ducati 959 Panigale from Thailand. The baby Panigale has now been launched in the country with a price tag of Rs. 13.97 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and is on display currently at Ducati dealerships in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi and Gurgaon, Haryana.

The new 959 Panigale comes with a more powerful L-Twin cylinder, liquid cooled engine meeting Euro 4 emissions norms. The unit is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox with a slipper clutch and develops 156bhp of max power @ 10,750rpm and 105.6Nm of peak torque @ 9,000rpm.

Reigning in all that power is Ducati’s traction control system (DTC) and Engine Brake Control (EBC) which can be controlled by a through three pre-programmed power modes - Race, Sport and Wet. The motorcycle also ofcourse comes with an anti-lock braking system.

Announcing the start of sales, Ravi Avalur, Managing Director, Ducati India said: “Since we first unveiled the model, our dealers have received an overwhelming interest from motorcyclists all over the country. The 959 Panigale is the embodiment of Ducati’s premium sportbike culture and is now on display at our dealerships in Delhi and Gurgaon.”

Ducati currently has five showrooms across India in New Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune. The company plans to open two new dealerships by the end of 2016.
