Ducati recalls select Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 bikes in North America due to an ABS fuse issue that can disable the system, potentially leading to wheel lock-up.

Ducati North America has issued a recall for select 2025 Panigale V2 and 2025–2026 Streetfighter V2 motorcycles, emphasising the importance of rider safety and braking confidence. Filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the campaign addresses an assembly issue traced back to a supplier stage.
For riders, the Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 represent Ducati’s middleweight performance line, making braking reliability a core part of the riding experience. Importantly for global buyers, Ducati has stated that the recall applies only to North America, with no reported cases in markets such as India.

The technical issue centres on the ABS wiring layout. The ABS pump requires a 25-amp fuse, while the control unit runs on a 10-amp fuse. In the affected motorcycles, these fuses were installed in reversed positions during assembly. As a result, the lower-rated 10-amp fuse ends up handling the higher electrical load meant for the ABS pump.

Under sustained or heavy braking, this incorrect setup can cause the fuse to blow. When that happens, the ABS pump stops functioning and the anti-lock braking system switches off. Riders are alerted through an ABS warning light and an error message on the instrument display. Without ABS support, braking can lead to front or rear wheel lock-up, especially during emergency stops.

Ducati has instructed authorised dealers across North America to inspect affected motorcycles. Technicians will check fuse positions and holders, correct the layout, and replace any damaged components if required. Ducati will complete all inspections and repairs free of charge as part of the recall process.
