Ducati has launched the Panigale V4 R in India at Rs 84.99 lakh ex-showroom, bringing its World Superbike Championship homologation model to the country. The launch took place on 2 January 2026, with bookings now open across authorised dealerships. Built to WSBK regulations, the Panigale V4 R sits at the top of Ducati’s road-legal line-up. This is not a regular superbike for casual rides. It is a race-focused machine with number plates, designed around motorsport rules, limited numbers and track-driven engineering rather than everyday usability.

India has received only one Panigale V4 R from the 2025 allocation, delivered by Ducati Chennai on 1 January 2026. Like all V4 R models, it comes from a numbered production run. Limited production defines the Panigale V4 R, keeping it closely tied to its homologation role rather than volume sales.
MotoGP-inspired aerodynamics include corner sidepods that create ground-effect at high lean angles. Larger biplane wings generate 25 per cent more downforce at 270km/h than before. The chassis uses a front frame and hollow symmetrical swingarm, while the Ducati Racing Gearbox places neutral below first gear.
A 6-axis IMU and Ducati Vehicle Observer manage electronics on a 6.9-inch TFT screen. Ohlins suspension, Brembo Hypure brakes, Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa V4 tyres and a 17-litre fuel tank complete the package at 186.5kg kerb weight without fuel.

Power comes from a 998cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine producing 216bhp at 15,500rpm, with slight variation depending on measurement. The engine revs up to 16,500rpm in sixth gear. Key components include cast aluminium pistons with DLC coating, a forged steel crankshaft, titanium connecting rods and intake valves, and oval throttle bodies with an equivalent diameter of 56mm.

An optional racing exhaust raises output to 235bhp. In full racing configuration, the Panigale V4 R is capable of speeds beyond 330km/h. A dynamic air intake system and variable-length intake trumpets support high-speed performance and consistent power delivery.
