Following the introduction of the single-seat model in August, Hero MotoCorp has added a new dual-channel ABS variant to the Xtreme 125R lineup in India, priced at Rs 1.04 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-spec version of the sporty commuter comes packed with an array of new features, including a ride-by-wire throttle, cruise control, three riding modes (Power, Road, and Eco), and a colour LCD console (similar to the Glamour X). It also gets dual disc brakes with dual-channel ABS (first-in-a-segment). While the overall design remains unchanged, Hero has added exclusive colour options – red, silver, and green – each featuring eye-catching triple-stripe graphics that help the model stand out from the rest. The Hero Xtreme 125R looks every bit a mini streetfighter with an aggressive stance and sporty proportions. The razor-sharp LED headlamp, seemingly inspired by big-capacity Nakeds such as the Kawasaki Z1000 and Honda CB1000 Hornet, dominates the front fascia. Meanwhile, the muscular fuel tank extensions, sleek LED indicators, and tapered tail section enhance its sporty character.

The bike is powered by the same 124.7 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 11.4bhp at 8,250rpm and 10.5Nm of torque at 6,000rpm, and is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
The new Xtreme 125R dual-channel ABS variant has taken the total number of models offered with the bike to four. The base IBS model is priced at Rs 89,000, while the standard ABS and single-seat ABS models cost Rs 92,500 each, and the range-topping dual-channel ABS variant is priced at Rs 1.04 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). In the competitive 125cc segment, the Hero Xtreme 125R stands out despite a Rs 9,000 premium over the TVS Raider’s top variant. Its dual-channel ABS and ride-by-wire throttle are firsts in this category, giving riders enhanced safety and better control.
