Hero MotoCorp has revealed the Xtreme 160R 4V Combat-Edition in India. The company has added ride-by-wire throttle and cruise control to the 160cc segment for the first time. The motorcycle enters the market as part of Hero’s plan to expand its tech-based lineup and strengthen its presence in the street category. The update targets riders who want electronic functions for daily use and longer trips while keeping the overall structure familiar. Hero MotoCorp has yet to reveal the price.

The Xtreme 160R 4V Combat-Edition uses a grey and yellow colour scheme. It carries an LED headlamp and the motorcycle continues with the same frame and suspension layout as the standard version. Hero has added a colour LCD display that shows speed, fuel level, gear position and ride data. The design changes focus on function while retaining the same body form seen in the regular model.

The motorcycle includes ride-by-wire throttle with three modes: Rain, Road and Sport. Its also comes with the cruise control, which is rare in this segment. Riders can manage functions through the LCD console, which shows the selected mode, trip details and average speed. The setup gives riders more control in changing conditions and supports city and highway use.

Hero continues to use the 163.2cc air and oil-cooled four-valve engine. It produces 16bhp and 14Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The motorcycle uses KYB upside-down forks at the front, a rear monoshock and disc brakes with dual-channel ABS. The mechanical setup stays the same as the standard version, keeping the same ride feel.
