Safety on the road is safe tea at home, goes a popular automotive saying. And that’s exactly what Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India believe too. Spreading this message to the young and old, Honda organised a two-week safety program at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2016.

In association with the Delhi Traffic Police, Honda participated in the 36th India International Trade Fair 2016 held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi to educate citizens about the importance of road safety. By joining hands with the Delhi Traffic Police, Honda trained over 4,000 individuals how to make safe riding an everyday habit. These 4,000 individuals included children from 5 years of age to adults.

To train children from the age group of 5-6 years, Honda organised role-playing activities and interactive road safety digital games. Some drawing competitions were organised too. Children between 9-12 years old got more hands-on experience riding the Honda CRF 50 in a controlled environment to understand the basic handling of a motorcycle. A riding trainer helped everyone above the age of 16 years to become more aware while riding by experiencing over 100 possible dangers on the road.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Y.S. Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., “For us at Honda, road safety is pivotal and top most priority. As a responsible corporate, we are committed towards promoting road safety awareness amongst citizens of the country. Our association with the India International Trade Fair helps us reach out to a large number of people and promote good riding habits amongst them.”

Honda has been running Road Safety Programs across the nation for a while now. In their 15 years of operation in India, they have trained more than 8 lakh people. Honda is playing their part in making our streets safe, are you?
