Honda V3R 900 E-Compressor Prototype

Honda has unveiled the V3R 900 E-Compressor Prototype at EICMA 2025, signalling a new chapter in motorcycle innovation. The prototype represents a major step towards Honda’s 2030 Vision, bringing together performance and environmental responsibility through a electronically controlled compressor paired with a V3 engine.

This setup enables precise power delivery independent of engine speed, ensuring strong torque across the rev range while improving efficiency and reducing emissions. The V3R 900 is designed for riders who seek both performance and control, combining advanced boost management with the technology needed to shape the next generation of motorcycles.

The prototype carries a design that aligns with its performance intent. It features asymmetrical side cowls, a vertical LED headlamp, and a strong streetfighter stance supported by a single-sided swingarm. The large exhaust and muscular proportions enhance its road presence, while the fuel tank introduces the new 'Honda Flagship Wing' emblem.

The heart of the prototype is a 900cc liquid-cooled V3 engine supported by the electric compressor system. The technology delivers torque comparable to that of a 1,200cc motorcycle while maintaining fuel efficiency and cleaner emissions. The compressor ensures consistent performance across the powerband, giving the rider smooth throttle response and predictable acceleration.
