A defective main stand has led Honda to issue a voluntary recall for the Transalp XL750 in Europe. Notably, the main stand is offered as a component of the official accessory line and is not included in the adventure motorcycle's standard package. The main problem is with the main stand's center spring, which could break if the stand is lifted or lowered. As a result, the adventure motorcycle could fall over while parked, or its main stand may drag across the road while driving. The Japanese carmaker claims that the problem has resulted from inadequate welding. While Honda hasn't disclosed the number of units impacted, it confirmed that bikes made between January 24, 2023, and December 1, 2023, have been recalled. Since the main stand is provided as an add-on, the number of affected vehicles is expected to be a few. Right now, the recall is exclusive to Europe, and there is currently no information available for other markets, including India. The Japanese automaker will contact owners in Europe and offer a free repair for the defective part.

In India, the XL750 Transalp was launched last year at an ex-showroom price of Rs 11 lakh. It is only available at the company's BigWing dealerships. Let's go over the features of this middle-weight adventure bike in depth.

Honda XL750 Transalp: Engine and Hardware

A 755cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crankshaft powers the motorcycle. It has a 6-speed gearbox mated to 90 horsepower and 75 Nm of torque. There are five riding modes available for the Honda motorcycle: Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel, and User. Riders can adjust the engine and brake performance to suit their preferences by using these settings. This motorcycle also incorporates Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and ABS with an assist slipper clutch.

The XL750 Transalp has Showa-based 43mm SFF-CATM upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. It's equipped with dual 310mm wave discs with hydraulic 2-piston callipers up front and a 256mm single disc with a 1-pot calliper at the rear. The Honda off-road two-wheeler sports 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels with dual-purpose tyres.

Honda XL750 Transalp: Features

The Honda ADV's feature set includes a 5.0-inch TFT LCD that displays various information such as riding modes, a fuel gauge and consumption figure, a speedometer, a tachometer, and a gear position indication. This display is fully customizable by the rider, who can use the switchgear on the left handlebar or the screen to control it. The bike also comes with a Honda Smartphone Voice Control system (HSVCs), which connects to a smartphone and uses voice commands to control calls, messages, music, and navigation. The Honda bike also includes an automatic turn signal cancelling function and an emergency stop signal feature.
