2018 Indian Roadmaster Elite India Launched M

The 2018 Indian Roadmaster Elite is a limited-edition model that wears a 23k gold detailing and an exclusive paint scheme. Expect it to be priced around Rs 60 lakh

Earlier this year in January, Indian Motorcycle went all out on social media announcing their intention of bringing the Roadmaster Elite to India this year. They have now officially announced the launch date of the motorcycle. Set to be launched on the 2nd May, the Indian Roadmaster Elite is limited to only 300 units globally.

Indian Motorcycle first took the wraps off the Roadmaster Elite in July last year. This particular model distinguishes itself from the standard version thanks to its paint scheme. Buyers can have it in any colour as long as it is the black-blue paint scheme you see in the picture here. The company claims that experts spend around 30 hours to complete the paint job on the Roadmaster Elite. Add to that the 23k gold badging on the tank and tank extensions, and what you have is an exquisite piece of rare machinery. The luxury cruiser also comes with gold-spun engine casings. The Roadmaster Elite comes heavily equipped with features including a touchscreen ride command system with navigation, keyless ignition, cruise control, a 300-watt audio system and more.

While there are a lot of changes to the design detailing, at the Roadmaster Elite comes fitted with the same 1.8-litre Thunder Stroke motor that makes peak torque of 150Nm at 2,900rpm. This engine comes paired with a 6-speed transmission. Being a large motorcycle, the Indian Roadmaster Elite tips the scale at about 433kg when its 20.8-litre tank is filled with fuel. Telescopic forks up front and a single shock at the back help absorb the unevenness of the road.

There is no news about how many units of the Roadmaster Elite Indian Motorcycle will bring to India. The standard Roadmaster is priced at about Rs 50 lakh (on-road) – expect this limited-edition model to demand about Rs 10 lakh more.
