Jawa 300 teased again

Even after spy shots of an un-camouflaged Jawa 300 has leaked online, the company continues to release teasers to build hype around the brand launch

Jawa is all set to make a comeback with the official unveiling on 15th November. To build up hype around the upcoming motorcycle, Jawa has now released a teaser video. The video features the new Jawa 300 being ridden across some field in the countryside. The video, however, does reveal that the bike will sport a retro-modern theme – something that will appeal to a lot of old Jawa owners. At the front, it gets USD forks while the rear continues to have the spring type suspension. Continuing with the retro theme, the Jawa 300 comes with spoke wheels. But the highlight of the design is easily the twin exhaust pipes from the engine. While the video in itself doesn’t reveal much, we already know a lot of details about the motorcycles.

A few weeks back, Jawa released an image of the new engine along with the official specifications. It comes fitted with a 293cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor that develops 27bhp and 28Nm. While the output figures of this unit is more or less identical to the Mojo, Mahindra claims that it is an all-new unit that has been built from scratch. In fact, Mahindra also says that a lot of work has gone in making the new 300 sound like the two-stroke Jawas of the yesteryears.

Mahindra is all set to revive the Jawa brand with its official launch on 15th November. While a lot of aspects of the motorcycle and the brand are still unclear, including the name of the Jawa 300, we shall get to know more information at the official launch on 15th November.
