-Mechanically, it remains unchanged.

KTM has launched a new variant of the 160 Duke in India with a 5-inch colour TFT instrument cluster, priced at Rs 1.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variant sits above the base model, which continues to be offered at Rs 1.70 lakh, and is Rs 7,991 more expensive. The new 5-inch colour TFT display features bonded glass and supports Bluetooth connectivity, along with navigation. It adds to the overall appeal of the motorcycle and helps in giving riders a more connected and informative riding experience. Other than the addition of the new display, the KTM 160 Duke remains unchanged, continuing to offer the same mechanical package and performance characteristics as before.

KTM 160 Duke: What's New?

The new TFT console brings added connectivity features to the 160 Duke, allowing it to pair with a smartphone via KTM’s Connect app. Once connected, riders can use turn-by-turn navigation, receive call notifications, and manage music playback with a compatible Bluetooth headset. These functions are controlled through the left-side handlebar switchgear, making them accessible on the move.

KTM 160 Duke: Design

The KTM 160 Duke borrows its sharp and aggressive styling cues from the larger 200 Duke. It features an angular front fascia, a muscular fuel tank, and full-LED lighting. To complement its aggressive looks, KTM has focused on keeping weight in check. The motorcycle features bionic lightweight wheels, a reduced-mass hugger tube, and specially cast subframes that help lower overall weight without compromising durability. These elements enhance agility, improve the power-to-weight ratio. Other highlights include a cast pillion step holder and grab rail.

KTM 160 Duke: Engine and Hardware

The brand-new Duke packs a 164.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 18.7bhp at 9,500rpm and 15.5Nm at 7,500rpm, and is mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch.
