KTM 390 Duke price increased by Rs 40,000 as the brand passes on 40% tax impact to buyers after months of absorbing costs.

KTM India has increased the price of the KTM 390 Duke by around Rs 42,000, taking the ex-showroom price to Rs 3.39 lakh. The hike comes due to a 40 per cent tax levy on the motorcycle. KTM had been absorbing this cost for the past few months, but has now passed it on to buyers. Importantly, there are no changes to the motorcycle itself, and the update is limited strictly to pricing.

The design of the 390 Duke remains unchanged. It continues with its sharp styling, featuring large tank extensions and a distinct LED headlamp setup. The overall stance stays aggressive, and the use of lighter wheels and brake rotors continues to help with handling.

The feature list also remains the same. The bike gets a five-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, allowing access to navigation, calls, and music. It also continues to offer cornering traction control and cornering ABS, along with a track mode that includes launch control.
Engine and performance figures are unchanged as well. The motorcycle is powered by a 399cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 45bhp and 39Nm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox, along with a slipper clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter as standard.
The chassis and suspension setup remain as before, with a steel trellis frame and a die-cast aluminium subframe. It continues to use adjustable USD forks and a rear monoshock. In the segment, it rivals the Triumph Speed 400, TVS Apache RTR 310, and Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, with the only change now being a higher entry price.
