KTM 890 Adventure R makes India debut at IBW 2022

The WP suspension on the 2023 890 Adventure R is now completely adjustable on both ends.

The 890 Adventure R was on display by KTM India at the India Bike Week 2022, currently underway in Goa. The 2023 version of the 890 R has been updated with some fresh styling and several technological enhancements. So, without any further ado, let's have a quick look at all the significant changes received by the KTM 890 Adventure R for 2023.

Speaking of the powertrain, an 889cc LC8c parallel twin engine generating 103bhp of maximum power as well as 100Nm of peak torque, powers the KTM 890 Adventure R. The motor is coupled with a six-speed transmission and mounted inside a steel tube frame that is supported by WP front forks and a WP mono-shock with compression and rebound adjustments.

Coming to its styling, the KTM 890 Adventure R has an aggressive off-road appearance with a split LED headlight stacked vertically on top of a smoked windscreen. For additional safety, it has a belly pan and handlebar protectors. The windscreen is larger in the latest iteration of the 890 R as compared to its predecessor. The KTM Adventure's chassis features a more prominent front fairing that now connects to the side panels. Moreover, the Continental tyres on the previous models have been replaced by the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres for the 2023 edition. 

In terms of features, the 890 Adventure R features a TFT screen that gets you access to different rider aids, including traction control, ABS, ride modes, etc. The instrument console of the 2023 version, however, has been redesigned and now includes more functions as well as smartphone connectivity.

Meanwhile, KTM India has not yet made any formal announcement regarding the exact launch timeline of the 2023 890 Adventure R in India. It's unlikely for it to come to our market anytime soon.
