LiveWire Electric Bike Concept

LiveWire recently took the wraps off its two new compact electric motorcycle concepts on social media, based on a new EV platform (still under development). Both bikes, an urban commuter and an off-road model, feature dual removable batteries for easy swapping or recharging. They have an accessible seat height of around 762mm (30 inches) and a range of nearly 100 kilometres. LiveWire reports a 0-30km/h acceleration in about 3 seconds, a top speed of about 53km/h. However, these performance numbers are based on testing and may vary at launch. Full technical specs are yet to be disclosed.

The trail-focused variant is designed to offer versatility and off-road fun. It is an ideal option for both seasoned riders and beginners seeking casual backyard adventures, or tackling pump tracks, and navigating wider open spaces like ranches, trails, and campgrounds. The bike is lightweight and easy to handle in rugged terrain.

On the other hand, the street-oriented model targets everyday commuters and is perfect for weaving through traffic, running quick errands, or simply enjoying a quiet, low-maintenance ride. The bike can be appealing to new riders, urban commuters, and mini-moto enthusiasts who want a nimble, approachable way to get around.

While LiveWire has yet to announce an official launch date for its new electric bike concepts, industry reports indicate that production-ready versions could be unveiled as early as this year’s EICMA. The company appears to be taking a more inclusive and community-driven approach with these upcoming models by actively seeking feedback from fans and potential riders on social media and online channels. It is inviting customer inputs on possible colour schemes, accessory options, and customisation ideas, showing a shift toward more user-influenced design.
