Mahindra has launched a fully-kitted out touring version of the Mojo. Billed as the Mojo Touring Edition, the motorcycle gets a number of functional add-ons, which the company claims are designed to benefit touring riders going on long journeys. The Mojo Tourer Edition is priced slightly higher than the standard version at Rs 1,88,850 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Mojo Touring Edition gets a number of additional equipment and accessories over the regular Mojo. Additions on the motorcycle include a 13-litre magnetic tank bag, a 38-litre fabric saddle bag and carrier, a mobile holder, front guards to protect the fuel tank, radiator and engine, a pannier mount and 20W fog lamps with mounts. Mahindra will also be giving a tourer jacket as an introductory benefit to the buyers of the new variant.

No mechanical updates have been made in the Mojo Touring Edition. It comes powered by the same liquid-cooled 295cc single-cylinder engine developing 26.8bhp @ 8,000rpm and 30Nm @ 5,500rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Commenting on the launch of the new Mojo Touring Edition, Naveen Malhotra, Sr. General Manager – Sales, Marketing & Product Planning, Mahindra Two Wheelers, said - “The emerging trend among the youth is to accessorize their bikes, keeping this in mind, we are excited to introduce the Mojo Tourer Edition. It is aimed at those who have a passion for touring and for whom exploring new terrain is a way of life. The Mojo Tourer Edition is the perfect companion for every biker who is passionate about touring.”

As we've experienced in the past, the Mahindra Mojo is a capable tourer in its standard guise. So, adding more functional upgrades over the regular model is a welcome addition. Current Mahindra Mojo owners can also buy and retrofit these accessories on their motorcycles.
