Ahead of its July 3 global debut, BMW Motorrad has teased the updated CE 04 electric scooter. A fresh look is suggested by the teaser's new matte blue colour theme. Although specifics are still being kept under wraps, the current CE 04 has a liquid-cooled electric motor with 41bhp and 62Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 50km/h in just 2.6 seconds and has a top speed of 120km/h. It has an 8.5kWh battery with a 130km stated range. The scooter has three riding modes, ABS, LED lighting, keyless ignition, a 10.25-inch TFT display, and a reverse mode. The updated model may retain these features while introducing enhancements in design and technology.
The BMW CE 04 is now in its third year of international sales after making its debut in 2022. In July 2024, the current model was introduced in India for an ex-showroom price of Rs 15.25 lakh.

In the recently posted teaser image, we can see a matte blue panel with the CE 04 badge ahead of its July 3 global unveiling. It is unclear, though, if this update merely adds a new colour option or makes significant styling adjustments.
The CE 04's strikingly futuristic design deviated from BMW's conventional two-wheeler design language, which is anticipated to stay mostly the same.
The maxi-style scooter sports an extended, low profile and a diagonally rising front portion. It also has angular bodywork, cornering headlights, daytime running lights, and a flat bench-style seat.
Selectable riding modes (Eco, Rain, and Road), a reverse gear, ABS, traction control, and a USB Type-C charging port are among the essential features. An expansive 10.25-inch TFT screen shows comprehensive trip and charging information, has built-in GPS, and connects to smartphones. The Comfort and Dynamic packages, which provide improvements like heated handlebars, a more supportive seat with a backrest, adaptive lighting, and increased ride customisation, are another option for buyers.

On the hardware front, a double-loop steel frame supports the EV. Its suspension system consists of a single-sided swingarm with directly hinged suspension support at the rear and a single-bridge telescopic fork up front.
Both ends of the electric scooter are fitted with 265mm disc brakes. Additionally, it has 15-inch wheels with tyres that are 120/70 up front and 160/60 down back.
