2024 Hero Destini 125 ZX

Hero MotoCorp has launched the all-new Destini 125 in India, after unveiling it in September last year. The second-generation scooter is offered in three variants– VX, ZX, and ZX+ – priced at Rs 80,450, Rs 89,300, and Rs 90,300, respectively (ex-showroom). The VX model is offered in attractive Eternal White, Regal Black, and Groovy Red colours. Meanwhile, the ZX variant has striking Cosmic Blue and Mystique Magenta hues. The ZX+ variant, on the other hand, offers the choice between Eternal White and Regal Black. Here’s a detailed look at everything you need to know about the scooter.

New Hero Destini 125: Design and Features

The Hero scooter has a refined design, highlighted by a projector LED headlamp, unique H-shaped LED daytime running lights, a sturdy metal front fender, repositioned turn indicators, and a stylish new LED taillamp.

In addition to an updated design, the new Destini 125 boasts a range of technology enhancements. The entry-level model has an analogue instrument cluster with a small LCD display, while the ZX and ZX+ variants offer a more advanced digital console. The digital unit is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, Hero's i3s start-stop system, a segment-first auto-cancelling indicator feature, a backlit starter button, and a convenient pillion backrest for added comfort.

The two-wheeler comes standard with a combined braking system (CBS), a boot lamp, a side stand engine cut-off, an external fuel filler, and a USB charging port.

New Hero Destini 125: Powertrain and Hardware

The Destini 125 retains its familiar 124.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 9bhp and 10.4Nm. However, Hero has refined the chassis for enhanced performance and handling. The scooter has a fuel efficiency of 59km/l (as per ICAT testing) and a suspension of a telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock. Braking hardware includes drum brakes on the base variant and a disc-drum setup on the ZX and ZX+ variants.

The updated scooter features 12-inch alloy wheels, available only on the ZX+ variant, paired with a wider 100/80-12 rear tyre. This upgrade stretches the wheelbase to 1,302mm, an increase of 57mm. With a ground clearance of 785mm, the scooter offers the highest ride height in its segment. It also comes with a 5-litre fuel tank and 19 litres of under-seat storage space.
