Honda has launched the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP in India, priced at Rs 28.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new iteration is more powerful and technologically advanced than its predecessor. It has been developed with help from Honda's racing division, incorporating technology and design principles from its MotoGP machines, particularly the RC213V. Key highlights include refined aerodynamics, an Akrapovic titanium muffler, a highly responsive engine, improved mid-range performance, and Ohlins electronic suspension. Here's a closer look at other details of the 2025 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP.
The 2025 version of the Fireblade packs a 999cc liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine that has been revised for 2025 to improve mid-range response and throttle control. It shares its bore and stroke (81.0mm x 48.5mm) with the RC213V MotoGP bike and now features a higher compression ratio, new valve timing, and lighter internals for reduced inertia and a higher redline. Other prominent highlights include Honda’s first two-motor Throttle-by-Wire system, Akrapovič titanium muffler, 6-speed gearbox, and a bi-directional quickshifter. Power and torque figures stand at 215bhp and 113Nm.

The Fireblade SP features a lightweight double-beam aluminium composite frame. It comes equipped with advanced Ohlin's suspension components (an NPX (SV) S-EC 3.0 front fork with electronic preload, compression, and rebound adjustments, and a TTX36 (SV) S-EC 3.0 rear shock absorber with Pro-Link and electronic tuning for preload, compression, and rebound).

Braking duties are handled by dual 330mm discs and multi-piston callipers up front, and a 220mm disc with a 2-piston calliper at the rear. The Fireblade SP rolls on 17-inch wheels. It also includes features such as a six-axis IMU, TFT display, and customisable traction control.
