Ahead of its official unveiling on September 16, TVS has teased its upcoming motorcycle, which will most likely be launched in the sporty and affordable 125cc segment.

TVS two-wheelers will launch a new motorcycle on September 16. Reports online suggest that the brand will revive the Fiero name tag with its upcoming motorcycle. Whether it's true or not will be confirmed this week when TVS will take the wraps off its new motorcycle.

For now, the online teasers give us a glimpse into the new TVS motorcycle. By the looks of it, TVS seems to target young buyers. The styling of the bike includes cuts and creases, along with funky colour choices, namely, yellow and red. The headlamp has integrated DRLS in an ‘X’ pattern.

The motorcycle gets a split seat layout. The handlebar is relatively flat, which could, in turn, offer a sporty riding stance. The bike's instrument cluster is an all-digital unit, and the display colours make it look very busy. We think that the new motorcycle will come equipped with TVS’ connected tech, which is also on offer in the TVS Ntorq 125 scooter.

Coming to its mechanicals, TVS is likely to equip the upcoming motorcycle with a 125cc engine, which will make it a key rival to the Bajaj Pulsar NS125, which has created an affordable sporty segment of its own. The Pulsar NS125 produces 12bhp and 11Nm from a 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The power figures of the new TVS motorcycle are expected to be in the same range. The pricing of the new TVS motorcycle is expected to be very aggressive; most likely, it will be under the Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom) mark.
