Next-Gen Oben Rorr EZ India Launch on August 5: Here's What You Can Expect

Oben Electric is all set to introduce the updated Rorr EZ in India on August 5, 2025. The bike, which went on sale in November 2024, will gain several upgrades, including 'rider-centric features'. It is expected to boast higher performance, improved efficiency, and features tailored to suit the requirements of daily commuters. For now, the Bengaluru-based startup hasn't revealed any details, but we expect significant upgrades, which may lead to a slight increase in prices, currently capped at up to Rs 1.30 lakh.

While Oben remains tight-lipped about the key changes, the teaser image suggests that the bike will retain its design while adding bold lines and ergonomic enhancements. Oben could offer new colour options for the electric bike.

On the technical front, the electric motorcycle will continue to utilise Oben's high-performance LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery technology. This is a significant highlight, as LFP batteries are known for their enhanced heat resistance and extended lifespan, making them ideal for India's diverse climate and riding conditions. Oben's proprietary MHX (Maximum Heat Exchange) technology is claimed to offer 50% better heat resistance.

Bookings for the next-generation Rorr EZ will officially commence on launch day, August 5. Deliveries are set to begin from August 15, 2025, starting in key cities across India.

Oben Rorr EZ: Key Specifications

The existing Oben Rorr EZ stands out in the electric motorcycle segment with competitive pricing. It offers three battery options: 2.6kWh, 3.4kWh, and 4.4kWh. The range spans between 110 kilometres and 175 kilometres, depending on the selected battery pack. All versions use the same electric motor that churns out a max power output of 9.86bhp and a peak torque of 52Nm. Riders can switch between Eco, City, and Havoc modes to suit their riding style, while modern touches like full LED lighting and a digital display enhance everyday usability.

The Oben Rorr EZ is positioned as an accessible and feature-rich electric motorcycle. Its ex-showroom price is Rs 99,999 for the 2.6kWh model, and Rs 1.20 lakh for the 3.4kWh variant. The top-spec 4.4kWh model is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh.
