Piaggio lowers Vespa and Aprilia scooter prices, including SR 175 and Vespa S Tech 149, following GST 2.0 reforms, making premium scooters affordable nationwide.

Piaggio India has announced revised prices for its Vespa and Aprilia scooter range following the rollout of the new GST 2.0 structure for two-wheelers under 350cc. The updated tax norms, which came into effect on 22 September 2025, lower the effective cost of ownership for buyers. By fully passing on the benefit of this tax cut, Piaggio has made both Vespa and Aprilia scooters more accessible across the country.
The Vespa lineup has received significant price adjustments. Popular models, including the Vespa ZX, Vespa 125, and Vespa S, are now priced lower at the ex-showroom level. The Vespa ZX, earlier listed at Rs 1.20 lakh, can now be purchased for Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Overall, the Vespa range now sits between Rs 1.10 lakh and Rs 1.94 lakh, widening its reach among city commuters looking for premium styling paired with everyday practicality.

Among the Vespa models, the Vespa S Tech 149 stands out with its new pricing. Previously positioned at Rs 2.12 lakh, it is now available at Rs 1.94 lakh. This reduction enhances its appeal among buyers interested in models equipped with advanced technology. The price cut spans across all variants, including dual-tone editions and scooters fitted with feature-focused technology packs, ensuring every customer benefits from the revised rates.

Aprilia scooters have also seen a GST-linked price update. The Aprilia SR 125 now starts at Rs 1.10 lakh, reflecting a more competitive position in the segment. Other models such as the Aprilia Storm and SR 175 follow suit with adjusted prices, placing the overall Aprilia scooter range between Rs 1.10 lakh and Rs 1.17 lakh. This positions the Aprilia portfolio as a strong choice for riders who value Italian design influences and sporty ride characteristics in the mid-capacity scooter space.

Piaggio expects the revised pricing to help strengthen its market presence by appealing to a broader customer base, particularly younger buyers choosing style-oriented and performance-focused scooters. The GST 2.0 reform, aimed at reducing financial burden on two-wheeler customers, has given scooter manufacturers an opportunity to improve affordability.
