Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer Simple Energy has filed a design patent for a new scooter. Unlike its sporty-looking siblings, the One and OneS, the new scooter has a more family-oriented design, according to the patent images. It reflects a shift in the company's focus toward everyday usability and comfort. For now, specific details regarding specifications and pricing are under wraps, but industry reports suggest that the model could launch in the second half of 2026. It will compete directly with established rivals such as the Ather Rizta, Hero Vida VX2, and TVS iQube.
Simple Energy’s potential move to expand its footprint in India’s fast-growing electric market will help strengthen its position among competitors. It will also allow the electric two-wheeler startup to cater to a broader audience, including families and urban commuters seeking reliable, eco-friendly mobility solutions.
The upcoming Simple Energy electric scooter stands out with its flowing lines, smooth curves, and a compact front windscreen. It has a split LED headlight, a bench-style seat with a built-in backrest, and a flat floorboard. Overall, the scooter exudes traditional and practical design, targeting urban families and daily commuters.
Simple Energy has not shared any details regarding the powertrain. Industry reports, however, suggest that the new scooter will have a modified Simple One platform. It will come equipped with telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock rear suspension. Braking components may comprise brakes at both ends or a drum unit at the rear.

For the uninitiated, Simple Energy currently offers two electric scooters in India: the Simple One and the Simple One S. The One S was launched earlier this year at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.39 lakh. It features distinct design elements borrowed from the Simple One, including a more streamlined tail section, a bold front profile with a sharply sculpted headlamp, and edgy body panels. However, it is equipped with a smaller 3.7 kWh battery, in contrast to the larger 5kWh battery found in the Simple One.
