Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) has introduced a new dual-tone colour option for the Avenis scooter, called the Metallic Matte Platinum Silver No. 2/ Glass Sparkle Black. The new hue joins the existing colour palette without affecting the price, which continues to start at Rs 91,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Additionally, Suzuki has left the mechanical specifications and features of the Avenis untouched. The cosmetic update is intended to keep the scooter competitive in the hotly contested 125cc segment, which includes popular models like the TVS Ntorq, Honda Activa, and the Hero Xoom.
The Avenis is powered by a 124.3cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, compliant with the latest BS6 OBD-2B norms. This unit produces a maximum power of 8.5bhp at 6,750rpm and a peak torque of 10Nm at 5,500rpm.

The scooter rides on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels. In terms of features, the Avenis is equipped with a full-digital instrument cluster, which, in the Ride Connect Edition, offers Bluetooth connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation, calls, and SMS alerts.
Other highlights include an LED headlamp and taillight, an integrated engine start/stop switch with Suzuki’s Easy Start System, a muffler cover, a side-stand engine cut-off function, split grab handles, a step-up seat, and a spacious floorboard.
