Suzuki Motorcycle India is all set to launch the V-Strom 800DE tomorrow, i.e. March 29. The middleweight adventure bike, which is already on sale in global markets, was showcased in India at the Bharat Mobility Expo in February. The motorcycle weighs 230 kg and features a 20-litre fuel tank. It has an 855mm seat height and 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels with Dunlop tubeless tyres sized 110/80 front and 150/70 rear.

Although there is no official confirmation, Suzuki's V-Strom 800 DE is expected to enter the Indian market through the CBU route, leading to higher prices of around Rs 13-14 lakh (ex-showroom). This bike will compete against models such as the Triumph Tiger 900 and the BMW F 850 GS. Read on more to learn about the bike that is all set to hit our shores tomorrow.

Suzuki V-Strom 800DE: Engine and Hardware

The Suzuki middleweight ADV features a 776cc parallel-twin engine with 83bhp and 78Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox and a bidirectional quickshifter. The V-Strom 800DE is equipped with Showa's adjustable front fork and monoshock with remote preload control. It has 310mm front discs with four-piston floating callipers and a 260mm rear disc with a single-piston calliper for braking. Dual-channel ABS is standard on the bike, and the rear ABS can be turned off as needed.

Suzuki V-Strom 800DE: Features

The motorcycle has a steel frame, identical to the GSX-8S naked bike, but with a longer and more robust subframe to withstand additional load. There are different electronic rider aids available on the Suzuki motorcycle. These consist of a Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS) with two on-road modes and an off-road gravel mode, and a Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) with three ride modes: Active, Basic, and Comfort. Other notable amenities include an all-LED lighting setup, a 5.0-inch TFT display, Suzuki's Easy Start System, and a Low RPM Assist feature.
