Suzuki V-Strom SX, Gixxer 250 Series, Burgman Street EX Updated to Meet E20 Compliance in India

Suzuki Motorcycle India has updated the V-Strom SX, the Gixxer 250 series, and the Burgman Street EX to meet the E20 norms in the country. In our market, these recently E20-compliant models will be available at all Suzuki Premium dealerships beginning in the third week of June 2023.

Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMIPL) has introduced the E20-compliant V-Strom SX, the Gixxer 250 series, and the Burgman Street EX in the country. E20 is a fuel blend that contains 20% ethanol. According to the two-wheeler manufacturer, this move is in sync with its commitment to producing goods that exude sustainability. In our market, the firm currently offers the E20-compliant Suzuki Gixxer series, the Access 125, the Burgman Street, and the Avenis. SMIPL hasn't shared anything regarding the change in the prices of these E20 Fuel-Ready models. As part of the E20-compliant product line that also complies with the most recent emission requirements, the V-Strom SX, Gixxer 250 series, and Burgman Street EX will be accessible at all Suzuki Premium dealerships beginning in the third week of June 2023.

Updated Suzuki V-Strom SX, Gixxer 250 Series, and Burgman Street EX: What's New?

Suzuki India has launched the updated V-Strom SX, the Gixxer 250cc series (which includes the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250), and the Burgman Street EX in India. These models are not only E20-compliant but also support OBD II technology. The revised two-wheelers comply with the most recent emission regulations, which entitles them to an onboard diagnostics system that can instantly detect emissions. In terms of price, there has been no official change. These updated models are most likely to continue selling at their previous costs.

Sharing his views on the modification, Mr. Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. stated, “We are proud to share that our entire domestic product portfolio is now E20 compliant. This positive shift is quite ahead of the timeline stated by the Government of India for the two-wheeler industry.''
