TNT Motorcycles, also known as TNT Customs, has taken the wraps off the Himalayan 440, a bespoke machine that combines the charm of the old 411 with Scram 440 parts for enhanced performance.

What if the Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 had received the upgrades it truly needed instead of being discontinued? Delhi-based custom motorcycle specialists TNT Motorcycles, also known as TNT Customs, have answered that question with the bespoke Himalayan 440. The custom bike is not a Scram 440 in the Himalayan 411’s clothing. Instead, it is based on the old Himalayan 411, with key engine components upgraded using parts sourced from the Scram 440. Here’s an in-depth look at the new Royal Enfield custom build that fans of the classic Himalayan are most likely to adore.

The custom 440 uses the same platform as the old Himalayan, but an enlarged engine, thanks to the genuine Royal Enfield parts from the Scram 440. It boasts a displacement increased to 443cc and the addition of a sixth gear. This unit in the Scram produces 25.05bhp of maximum power and 34Nm of peak torque, more than the 411’s 24bhp and 32Nm.

In terms of the hardware, the bespoke Himalayan 440 comes with cross-spoked rims and braking components sourced from the new Himalayan 450. Suspension duties are looked after by upgraded YSS units, while the fuel tank capacity has been increased with a custom 21-litre aluminium tank that closely matches the stock Himalayan 15-litre tank in weight.
The Himalayan 440 is a bespoke creation by TNT Customs, and Royal Enfield currently has no plans to produce a model like this. While it remains a custom build, the 440 gives the fans of the classic Himalayan a glimpse of what the old machine could have been with modern upgrades.
