Tork Motors has rolled out an attractive discount of Rs 37,500 on the Kratos R electric motorcycle, reducing its price from the usual asking price of Rs 1.87 lakh to Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India). However, the discounted price is applicable for a limited time, only for the month of March 2024. Having said that, the bike remains the same in terms of design, powertrain, features, and more.

Tork Kratos R: Powertrain

A 4kWh lithium-ion battery pack comes linked to a 9kW (12bhp) axial flux motor. This setup is rated for an IDC-claimed range of 180km (Eco+ mode). In 2023, the Pune-based EV manufacturer updated its flagship motorcycle with a new riding mode: Eco+, which is said to yield over a 150-kilometre range on a single charge. This number is higher than the earlier range of 120 kilometres. However, the top speed is marked at 35km/h. In Sport mode, the Kratos R can reach 105km/h. Speaking of modes, the motorcycle is available with four riding modes – Eco, City, Sport, and Eco+.  Also on offer is a reverse mode to enable hassle-free parking.

The Kratos R's battery can be charged to 80 per cent in 60 minutes using a fast charger. The 0 to 100km/h acceleration time of the bike stands at 3.5 seconds.

Tork Kratos R: Hardware

Hardware-wise, the Tork Kratos R features a split trellis frame, built from high-strength steel. The suspension setup consists of telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear, while the braking hardware includes a single disc on either end. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels with 90/80 front and 120/80 rear tyres. The bike's kerb weight is 140 kilograms, while the ground clearance stands at 165mm.

Tork Kratos R: Features

The motorcycle comes with a digital instrument cluster, mobile connectivity, regenerative braking, ABS, a front-storage box, battery indicator, crash alert, an anti-theft system, hazard light, guide me home lights, safe home function, geofencing, and find my vehicle function. It also gets motor walk assist, track mode, smart charge analysis, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and USB charging.

Tork Kratos R: Colour Options

Alongside the Kratos X, the 2023 version of the Tork Kratos R was showcased at the Auto Expo last year, featuring a dark blue colourway, a blacked-out battery pack, and a new LCD dash. Currently, the bike is offered in five colour options: Jet Black, Innocent White, Streaky Red, Midnight Black, and Oceanic Blue. In the segment, it rivals the likes of the Revolt RV400, the Oben Rorr, the Matter Aera, and the Hop Oxo.
