Triumph Motorcycles will retain ex-showroom prices for Speed 400, Scrambler 400X, and Thruxton 400 by absorbing the GST hike above 350cc in India for 2025.

Triumph Motorcycles has confirmed that it will keep prices of its 400cc range unchanged in India, despite the recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) hike on bikes above 350cc. The revised tax rate, which jumped from 28 per cent to 40 per cent, directly affects mid-capacity models. By absorbing the increase, the British manufacturer is ensuring customers are not burdened with higher costs for its popular 400cc offerings.
The move applies to all of Triumph’s new-generation models developed in collaboration with Bajaj Auto. This includes the Speed 400, Scrambler 400X, and the newly launched Thruxton 400. Prices remain steady at Rs 2.50 lakh for the Speed 400, Rs 2.68 lakh for the Scrambler 400X, and Rs 2.74 lakh for the Thruxton 400 (all ex-showroom).

By holding prices, Triumph is positioning itself more competitively against rivals that have passed on the tax hike to buyers. For customers, it means continued access to motorcycles that combine international styling with locally optimised manufacturing costs.

A significant factor behind this price stability is Triumph’s production partnership with Bajaj Auto at the Chakan plant in Pune. Local assembly enables the brand to manage expenses efficiently, maintain competitive ex-showroom pricing, and keep ownership costs practical for Indian riders.

This move will strengthen buyer confidence and draw more traffic to Triumph dealerships. Unlike some competitors who have increased prices following the GST revision, Triumph has chosen to maintain stable prices for its 400cc motorcycles in India. This approach reflects the company’s focus on keeping its products accessible to riders despite changes in taxation.
