Triumph Motorcycles has revised the price of its Speed 400 in India, which now costs Rs 2.51 lakh (ex-showroom), up from the earlier Rs 2.46 lakh. This change comes shortly after the launch of the new Thruxton 400, another addition to Triumph’s 400 cc lineup. Interestingly, despite the higher price, nothing has changed in the bike’s design or features. The Speed 400 comes in four colour choices: yellow with white, black with grey, white with grey, and red with white. Features like ride-by-wire and switchable traction control are still on offer, giving riders the same level of control and convenience as before.

Underneath, the Speed 400 continues with the same suspension setup. It uses upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock for stability and comfort. Braking is handled by a 300 mm disc up front and a 230 mm disc at the rear, both with dual-channel ABS, giving riders added confidence on the road.

The Speed 400 is powered by the 398cc TR-Series engine. It makes 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 37.5Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch, which helps in smoother shifts and less effort while riding—whether it’s in the city or on open highways.
Triumph has introduced the new Thruxton 400 in India, priced at Rs 2.74 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike brings a familiar cafe racer design from the bigger Thruxton models to a more accessible 400cc platform. Buyers can choose from four colour options—Lava Red Gloss, Pearl Metallic White, Metallic Racing Yellow, and Phantom Black.

Under the tank, the Thruxton 400 uses the same 398cc TR-Series engine seen on the Speed 400, but with a few tweaks. It now makes 41.42 bhp at 9,000 rpm, which is around 2 bhp more than the Speed 400. The torque figure stays the same at 37.5 Nm, but it kicks in at 7,500 rpm instead of 6,500 rpm. This change comes from a new camshaft and updated engine tuning. Power is delivered through a six-speed gearbox, making the Thruxton 400 ready for both city rides and weekend getaways.
