Triumph is offering the Speed 400 with an attractive offer this month: free accessories worth Rs 7,600. If you are interested in getting your hands on this popular machine, buckle up, as the offer is limited and will end on July 31. The special offer is part of the brand’s Modern Classic anniversary celebration. In the 350cc to 450cc motorcycle segment, the Speed has been one of the most popular bikes and is currently priced at Rs 2.46 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes against the Harley-Davidson X440, KTM 390 Duke, and BMW G310 R. Let’s take a closer look at other details.
As part of the offer, the motorcycle comes with accessories worth Rs 7,600 at no extra cost. These accessories comprise a windscreen for better wind protection, tank/knee pads to help riders stay locked in while cornering, and engine bars to guard against damage in a fall.
The Speed 400 has a 398.15cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with a DOHC setup that produces a maximum power output of 39.5bhp and 37.5Nm, and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. It has 43mm upside-down Big Piston forks (130mm travel) at the front and a gas-charged monoshock (120mm travel) at the rear. Stopping power comes from a 300mm disc up front and a 230mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS.
The bike rides on 17-inch wheels with 110/80 front and 150/70 rear tyres. In terms of features, the Speed is equipped with an analogue speedometer paired multifunction LCD display, and a USB Type-C charging port.
Triumph teased the Trident 660 Special Edition, hinting at its launch sometime soon. The bike has already made its global debut and is inspired by the legendary ‘Slippery Sam,’ Triumph’s most iconic triple, which won five consecutive TT production races from 1971 to 1975. It is powered by a 660cc inline-triple engine that produces 80bhp and 64Nm, and is paired with a 6-speed transmission.
