Triumph Motorcycles will launch the new Thruxton 400 in India on August 6. Ahead of its debut, Triumph teased the bike with an image of a coffee cup featuring motorcycle-shaped latte art. The design hints at the Thruxton 400’s cafe racer roots. The bike was also spotted testing on public roads without camouflage, revealing its production-ready look. The upcoming Triumph Thruxton 400 will be powered by the same 399cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled TR Series engine. This is the same engine used in Triumph’s Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X. It produces 39bhp and 37.5Nm of torque.

For the design, the Thruxton 400 borrows heavily from its bigger sibling, the Thruxton 1200. Think café racer flair: a signature front fairing, retro-style round LED headlight, raked windscreen, sporty clip-on handlebars, sculpted fuel tank, and bar-end mirrors. It’s all about blending old-school charm with modern practicality in a compact package.
And it doesn’t stop at looks. Triumph is likely to load the Thruxton 400 with up-to-date tech, including a sleek digital instrument cluster, dual-channel ABS, and selectable riding modes. This makes the bike well-suited for riders who crave the vibe of yesteryear but demand the reliability and safety of today.

Expected to be priced between Rs 2.50 and Rs 2.60 lakh (ex-showroom), the Thruxton 400 won’t have many direct rivals. It’s set to expand Triumph’s 400cc lineup in India, appealing to those who want a dash of vintage personality with proven performance and premium features.
