Triumph has launched the Tiger 800 XCA adventure motorcycle in India at Rs 13,75,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This is Triumph’s 15th motorcycle in India, and fifth in the category.

The Tiger XCA is powered by a 800cc, three-cylinder engine that delivers 95 PS and 79 Nm of torque. With a 17% improvement in fuel consumption, Triumph promises that the bike can cover a distance of 437 km on one tank of fuel.

To improve its off-road capability, Tiger XCA is equipped with WP suspension, 17 inch rear tyres and 21 inch front tyres. ABS comes as standard with this adventure motorcycle, as does Nissin front brake pads.

Owners have a choice of three rider modes - road, off road, or programmable off-road - which automatically adjusts the ABS, Traction Control and Throttle Maps to best tackle the route ahead.

Speaking at the occasion, Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India said, “We at Triumph Motorcycles are committed to delivering the most exceptional experiences to our customers with our incredibly advanced and stylized bikes. Having received an overwhelming response from the Indian market in such a short span of time, we want to offer the best to our customers here.”

“For those who like to ride a little more off the beaten path, the new Tiger 800 XCA is the top of the tier Tiger XC family. Adding this variant to our outstanding range of Adventure bikes, we have consolidated the category in India taking the ethos of adventure a step further. On road or off-road, the Tiger XCA delivers.”

Triumph has made a successful foray in India, selling 2000 motorcycles in 20 months of its presence in the country.
