Triumph has launched the Tiger XR adventure motorcycle in India at a price tag of Rs 10,50,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Powered by a refined 800cc engine, the Triumph Tiger XR delivers 95 PS of power and 79Nm of torque. Triumph promises better fuel economy, more agility and improved touring capability thanks to the refinements made to the engine.

Speaking of styling, the Tiger XR features a titanium powder coat finish on the double tube frame, semi matt finish on the engine and further touches on the tank side panels.

The adventure motorcycle will ride on 17 inch tyres at the rear and 19 inch tyres at the front. The XR model is fitted with Showa suspension for improved handling.

Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India said, “We are focused on
creating motorcycles with a perfect balance of power, handling and style that totally involve the rider and bring out the best in them. Triumph Motorcycles has seen exceptional success within the adventure category here in India. Honestly we also feel that this as a category has huge potential for growth within the luxury motorcycles industry here in India.”

“We are extremely happy to announce the launch of the new Tiger XR in just three months from the launch of the Tiger XRx and XCx, which have received tremendous positive response from our esteemed customers in the country. To give an excellent value proposition, the new Tiger XR will be assembled locally through the CKD route in India. Whatever be the road, whatever be the distance and whatever be the challenge, the new Tiger XR has been built to excel!”

With the Tiger XR, Triumph’s portfolio expands to 14 motorcycles across five categories.
