TVS Raider Single-Seat Variant Launched in India at Rs 93,719; Check Details

The TVS Raider Single-Seat Variant has been launched in India at Rs 93,719 (ex-showroom), which is Rs 1,000 less expensive than the split-seat version. It is available in a single Striking Red colour option.

TVS Motor Company has launched the new single-seat version of the Raider motorcycle for the Indian market. The TVS Raider single-seat commuter bike is available in a single Striking Red colour option. It is the most affordable bike that slots below the split-seat version and the top-spec SmartXonnect model. The new entry-level, single-seat Raider stands at Rs 93,719 (ex-showroom), which is Rs 1,000 less expensive than the split-seat version and Rs 7,000 cheaper than the top-spec variant. The split-seat and SmartXonnect models are priced at Rs 94,719 and Rs 1.01 lakh, respectively. Prices are ex-showroom. Meanwhile, the company has discontinued its drum brake variant from the lineup, which had a price tag of Rs 86,803 (ex-showroom).

TVS Raider Single-Seat Variant: Design & Features

Design-wise, the TVS Raider gets a single-piece seat and sports a slightly elevated pillion seat section. On the feature front, it receives an LED headlight, a reverse LCD display that allows you to keep a tab on speedometre, trip metre, odometre, fuel-level indicator, tachometre, gear position indicator, and so on. Other features include a USB charging port and a small storage unit beneath the seat.

TVS Raider Single-Seat Variant: Powertrain, Performance

Mechanically, the new single-seat version draws power from a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled mill that churns out 11.2bhp of maximum power and 11.2Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. According to the company, the bike can accelerate from a standstill to 60km/h in 5.9 seconds. Besides, the bike is claimed to have an improved fuel efficiency with the help of engine start/stop and ET-Fi (EcoThrust-Fuel Injection). 

TVS Raider Single-Seat Variant: Suspension, Hardware

The suspension setup of the new TVS Raider Single-Seat trim includes telescopic forks at the front and adjustable monoshock at the rear. It rolls on 17-inch wheels, both front and rear. The wheels come wrapped in 80/100 front and 100/90 rear tyres. In terms of braking, the bike comes with a single 240mm front disc and a 130mm drum at the back. Also, it comes with synchronised braking technology that is offered standard across all trims. It has a fuel storage capacity of 10 litres.

TVS Raider Single-Seat Variant: Price, Rivals

The new TVS Raider single-seat trim is priced at Rs 93,719 (ex-showroom). It takes on the likes of the Hero Glamour Xtec, the Bajaj Pulsar 125, and the Honda SP125.
