Vespa 946 Emporio Armani 70th Anniversary Edition Launched

Vespa’s India model line-up gets two Anniversary Edition models to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Georgio Armani and the 130th anniversary of the Piaggio Group.

The modern Vespa brand from Piaggio is all about offering chic, lifestyle scooters to an evolving scooter buyer in India. But it would appear that this time around they have really taken it through the roof with the launch of a Vespa 946 Emporio Armani 70^th Anniversary Edition at Rs. 12.04 lakh (ex-showroom Pune).

For that money you continue to get a 125cc, single cylinder, air cooled gasoline engine developing 11.5BHP and 10.3Nm of peak torque. For the exorbitant asking price you get styling inputs from none other than the Italian fashion house of Giorgio Armani on this Vespa 946 Emporio Armani edition.  This Vespa 946 Emporio Armani 70^th Anniversary Edition has been introduced to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Georgio Armani and the 130th anniversary of the Piaggio Group.

Alongside the 946 Emporio Armani, another 70^th Anniversary Edition has also been launched. This model is based on the Vespa VXL (which is already a part of Vespa’s line-up in India) and is powered by a 150cc, single cylinder, air cooled petrol engine developing 11.4BHP of max power and 11.5Nm of peak torque. This model is priced at Rs. Rs 85,660 (ex-showroom Pune).

Needless to say, both these Vespa Anniversary Edition models come with automatic transmissions. The Vespa 946 Emporio Armani 70^th Anniversary Edition is offered with 12 inch alloy wheels, 220mm front disc brakes and features dual channel anti-lock braking system and anti-slip regulator traction control.
