Under its 'The Call of the Blue' campaign, Yamaha Motor India has launched the Aerox 155 Version S in the country. Carrying a price tag of Rs 1.51 lakh (ex-showroom), the latest version of the maxi-sports scooter comes with smart key technology that enables keyless operations, thereby delivering enhanced convenience and security to the riders. As a result of this new tech, the rider can now make use of Yamaha's answer-back system. To be able to locate your vehicle in a hassle-free manner, Yamaha has equipped the Aerox 155 Version S with an answer-back feature, which activates the indicators and a buzzer sound to help you find your scooter in crowded spaces. Another highlight is its keyless ignition system, allowing you to start your vehicle without using a physical key. All you have to do is rotate the knob to the ignition position and then push the start button.

Moreover, the latest version's smart key tech comes paired with an immobiliser system, which ensures the scooter's protection when the key is out of range. As for its colour options, the Yamaha Aerox 155 Version S comes in a choice of Silver and Racing Blue. The model will be exclusively available for purchase at Yamaha's premium Blue Square outlets.

Yamaha Aerox 155 Version S: Powertrain

The latest version of the Aerox 155 uses a new-generation 155cc Blue Core engine that comes with variable valve actuation (VVA) and is compatible with a CVT transmission. Its liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC (single overhead camshaft), 4-valve motor churns out 14.8bhp of maximum power at 8,000rpm and 13.9Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. More than that, the maxi-sports scooter is E20-fuel-ready and has an onboard diagnostics system.

Yamaha Aerox 155 Version S: Features

Features-wise, the Aerox 155 Version S is available with a first-in-class traction control system and a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth, not to mention a hazard switch as a standard feature. At its price, the Aerox 155 Version S is more expensive than the MotoGP Edition, launched last year in India.
