The Yamaha R15 lineup has become more expensive in India. The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer has increased prices of all R15 variants by Rs 4,900, and the revised prices are now effective across the country. The hike applies to the R15S, R15 V4, and the top-spec R15M range. According to Yamaha, the increase comes due to rising input and logistics costs. Apart from the price revision, there are no updates to the motorcycle, which means the R15 continues in the same form that has kept it popular among sportbike buyers for years.

Yamaha had reduced R15 prices by Rs 5,000 earlier in January 2026. With the latest revision, the motorcycle has almost returned to its earlier pricing. Even today, the R15 remains one of the few motorcycles in the segment that delivers a proper fully-faired sportbike feel while still being practical enough for daily use.
The Yamaha R15S is now priced at Rs 1.57 lakh ex-showroom, compared to Rs 1.51 lakh earlier. This version continues with the older V3-based setup and gets telescopic front forks along with a stepped seat design. It remains the more straightforward option in the lineup for buyers who want the R15 experience at a relatively lower price point.

The R15 V4 range is now priced between Rs 1.71 lakh and Rs 1.76 lakh ex-showroom. Earlier, prices ranged from Rs 1.66 lakh to Rs 1.71 lakh. This version continues to be the most balanced package in the lineup, offering upside-down front forks, sharper styling, and a quickshifter on selected variants. It also carries the latest R-series-inspired design language, which gives the motorcycle a bigger bike appearance on the road.
| Yamaha R15 Variants | New Price (Ex-Showroom) |
| R15S | Rs 1.57 lakh |
| R15 V4 | Rs 1.71 – 1.76 lakh |
| R15M | Rs 1.86 – 1.96 lakh |
The top-spec R15M now costs between Rs 1.86 lakh and Rs 1.96 lakh ex-showroom. The Carbon Fibre edition, priced at Rs 1.96 lakh, remains the most expensive version in the range. Along with exclusive styling elements, the R15M gets a TFT display and a standard quickshifter. These additions help give the motorcycle a more premium and sporty character compared to the standard variants.
The Yamaha R15 continues with the same 155cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). The engine produces 18bhp and 14Nm of torque and comes paired with a six-speed gearbox. Yamaha has not made any mechanical changes alongside the latest price update, so the overall riding experience remains unchanged.

The motorcycle also continues with the Deltabox frame, aluminium swingarm, upside-down forks, and rear monoshock setup. Weighing 141kg with an 11-litre fuel tank, the R15 still offers one of the sharpest handling setups in its category. Even after the latest price hike, the motorcycle continues to stand out for buyers looking for a compact sportbike with sporty dynamics and everyday usability.
